Tracing a T to Sebring ($8 paperback, $3 Kindle)
The author's great-grandparents, whose 1920 trip to Florida was the basis for Tracing a T to Tampa, returned to Florida in 1923. This book covers a partial retracing of the second trip. The reason that the retracing is incomplete is that only a portion of the documentation of the original trip survives. That portion is included along with the telling of the 2023 retrace through approximately thirty photographs. Published March 2024. Paperback (with B&W photos) and Kindle (with color photos) editions available through Amazon. There are also personalized (if desired) signed paperback copies available direct from author. $4 S&H. |

20 in '21 and the YT Too ($12 paperback, $4 Kindle)
Plans to drive the Yellowstone Trail and Historic US Route 20 in 2020 were sidelined by the COVID pandemic but they survived and were put into play in 2021. The Yellowstone Trail, the longest of America's named auto trails, was driven east to west. Historic Route 20, the longest of the United States Numbered Highways, was driven west to east. A major heat wave in the northwest gave the trip a wider range of temperatures than expected while the variety of surroundings, from cities like Boston and Chicago to open spaces like those in Wyoming and Montana, and roads, from multi-lane expressways to grassy two-tracks, was exactly as expected. The 37-day drive covered more than 9,000 miles and passed through 17 states. Nearly 200 photos are included in this travelogue. Published May 2022. Paperback (with B&W photos) and Kindle (with color photos) editions available through Amazon. There are also personalized (if desired) signed paperback copies available direct from author. $4 S&H. |

Tracing a T to Tampa ($12 paperback, $4 Kindle)
The T being traced belonged to the author's great-grandparents, and the tracing is of a trip they made to Florida in 1920. The repeat occurred in the trip's centennial year of 2020. Both involved twelve states and the District of Columbia. The original four month trip was documented in a series of letters, included in this book, sent from the road. The twenty-seven day retracing is documented in approximately 100 photographs augmented by a couple dozen historical photos. Published July 2021. Paperback (with B&W photos) and Kindle (with color photos) editions available through Amazon. There are also personalized (if desired) signed paperback copies available direct from author. $4 S&H. |

Six of Each ($12.50 paperback)
This one is all about the pictures. Each of the travelogues contains in excess of 100 photographs. They exist as full color images in the Kindle versions but are black & white in the paperbacks. The reason is cost. Even mid-level photo quality color printing is expensive. By using an economical magazine format and a limited number of photographs, Six of Each makes several color images available in printed form at a reasonable price. Six photos from each of five travelogues appear one to a page with a short description. Despite being photograph oriented, this is hardly a coffee table book. At best, it's a coffee table pamphlet that leaves plenty of room for coffee. Published March, 2019. At present, the book is available only through the printer, Blurb. A portion of the book is available for preview so you ought to take a look even if you have no intention of buying. Look it over and order if you so desire here. There are also personalized (if desired) signed paperback copies available direct from author. $4 S&H. |
